Snake vs Human is by Clap Clap Games, and the Poki page notes that it is the studio's first game there. The idea is in the title: you are a human, the opponents are giant snakes, and your answer to them is to shoot.

Shooting is the only control Poki lists. On a computer you click, and on a phone or tablet you tap. What changes over a session is not the controls but the numbers behind them. While you play you collect resources, and those resources go into your firepower: more bullets, faster shots and stronger attacks.

The snakes do not stand still while you improve. As the game goes on they become faster and smarter, so the upgrades are not an extra but the way you keep up. The rhythm of a session is therefore a loop: shoot, gather, upgrade, and meet a snake that is a little harder than the last one.

The game was released on Poki in November 2025 and last updated there in September 2026.

Because there is only one thing to press, most of the thinking happens between fights. How you spend what you have gathered decides whether the next snake is manageable or not, so a session feels less like aiming practice and more like keeping a small arsenal in balance while the pressure rises.

• Pick up resources whenever it is safe to. The whole game leans on upgrades, and a session where you skip collecting soon leaves you short against faster snakes.

• Think about which upgrade you need rather than buying whatever is cheapest. More bullets, faster shots and stronger attacks help in different ways, and a snake that moves quickly calls for a different answer than one that simply takes a lot of hits.

• Watch how a snake moves before firing continuously. Because the snakes get smarter, a pattern that worked early on may stop working later.

• On a phone, hold the device so that your tapping thumb does not cover the part of the screen where the snakes come from.

• If a session starts going badly, notice which upgrade you neglected. Next time, put resources into that one earlier instead of doubling up on the one you already favour.

Snake vs Human suits players who want a shooter with almost no controls to learn, where the interest comes from choosing upgrades and watching your firepower grow. It is a good fit for short sessions on a phone as well as on a computer.

• It is a shooting game. The targets are giant snakes rather than people, and the style is cartoonish, but younger children may still find the premise or the snakes unpleasant; we would suggest it for older children and up. This is our view, not an official rating.

• Poki shows ads around its games, so expect an ad before playing and occasionally between sessions.

• The snakes get faster and smarter as you go. If upgrades fall behind, the game can turn difficult quite suddenly.

• With a single action, the game relies on its upgrade loop for variety. Players who want a range of moves or a story may find it repetitive.
